Narora Atomic Station’s Unit-2 resumes operation

Unit-2 of Narora Atomic Power Station has recently been synchronized to the grid.

The unit was under shut down for En-masse Coolant Channel Replacement and En-masse Feeder Replacement.

The power from this unit will be supplied to Northern Region Electricity Grid and the beneficiary states are Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

EMCCR was carried out with indigenously developed technology, tools and tackles.

Similar jobs have been successfully carried out in unit-2 of Rajasthan Atomic Power Station, unit-1&2 of Madras Atomic Power Station and unit-1 of NAPS in the past.
