Taipower eyes building 100MW solar power plant

It will be the largest of its kind upon completion.

Taiwan's national utility Taiwan Power revealed it will build a 100MW solar power plant in Changhua County, central Taiwan. The site was originally intended for a new thermal power plant. The plan was rejected by Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan in 2016, due to environmental concerns. The company came up with the plans for the 100MW solar power poroject to avoid land-holding.

Taipower will shell out around $205.8m for the project which will sit on the 152-hectare site.
