Indian solar projects threatened by insufficient funds
The Overseas Private Investment Corp nears its limit for lending to projects in India, and other banks may follow suit.
According to Bloomberg, government-sponsored banks may start curbing the financial support for India's solar industry.
Bloomberg noted that the Washington-based Overseas Private Investment Corp. is close to its limit for lending to projects in India.
Asian Development Bank and the World Bank’s International Finance Corp. “could start having some constraints too,” Peter Ballinger, OPIC’s director of business development, said in the report.
