India's Lanco to develop Iraq power plant

Lanco  has secured an EPC contract worth INR3.65bn or US$81.26 million  to develop the 250MW AKAZ power plant in the Al-Anbar province, Iraq.

 

Work under the contract includes a complete EPC of an open cycle, gas-based thermal power plant with two frame gas turbine generator sets.

The plant will be equipped with two gas turbine generator sets of 125MW each, supplied by the General Electric International.

Construction of the project is expected to take about 16 months to complete.
