AMPYR Australia ink $300m deal for Bulabul battery energy storage

The agreement includes a capacity swap of up to 120 MW.

AMPYR Australia has entered into a $300m battery storage contract with InCommodities for its Bulabul battery energy storage system (BESS).

According to AMPYR Australia, this 15-year agreement involves a capacity swap deal of up to 120 megawatts, a blueprint for securing long-term financial viability for critical energy transition assets.

“The arrival of a major global energy trading company marks a critical shift away from Australia’s highly concentrated market of large incumbent retailers towards a more diverse and competitive energy landscape,” the company said.
