Azure Power wins 300MW solar power project

It will provide power to NTPC at a tariff of 3.6 cents/kWh for 25 years.

Azure Power was awarded a 300MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) grid-connected solar PV project won in an auction conducted by NTPC Limited.

According to an announcement, it will provide power to NTPC at a tariff of 3.6 cents/kWh for 25 years. The solar PV project can be located anywhere in India, which will likely be outside a solar park, and is expected to be completed in early 2021.

Previously, Azure Power also won a 600MW solar power project through India's largest solar auction to date conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
