Green energy creates major opportunities for Winaico
Slow procedures in Taiwan remain a critical bottleneck to growth.
Winaico sees Asia’s accelerating demand for renewables as a pivotal growth moment, with green energy now a global necessity for companies across sectors.
Speaking at Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025—organised by TAITRA and GESA under SEMI and held from 29 to 31 October at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center—Manager Yiching Wu said the shift presents significant upside.
However, Taiwan’s sluggish approval processes remain a drag. “The whole procedure in Taiwan is a bit slower, so that's a kind of challenge for us,” Wu noted, adding that the company believes overcoming these hurdles could unlock “a very big and good opportunity.”
Wu said Winaico’s global brand and subsidiaries across Europe and Australia set it apart as Winaico is expanding cooperation with South Asia partners. “We also work on having the supply opportunity… and then we also work for the demands of the projects together with them,” Wu said, adding that global collaboration helps diversify risk and strengthen the company’s long-term positioning.
