CPI gets approval for Jilin wind projects

CPI gets approval for Jilin wind projects

Project implementation for Jilin CPI New Energy's Changling Yaojinzi Wind Farm and 30th wind farm has been approved by NDRC.

According to the agreement with the National Development and Reform Commission, Jilin CPI New Energy will carry out the CDM project as the Chinese implementer, with KFW Bankengruppe of Germany as the partner.

The total transfer amount of the two wind farms is 550,000 tons of CO2. This is CPI's first approved clean development mechanism project in Jilin Province, paving the way for DOE to apply for UN registration.

After the project is successfully registered, additional gross earnings of about RMB 20 million are expected from the two wind farms, which will play an important role in promoting sustainable development and relieving operation pressure of Changling Yaojinzi Wind Farm and the 30th Wind Farm.
