Xinchang plant expansion gets go-signal

Plans to equip Xinchang Power Plant with 2x1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired units with efficient de-dusting have been approved by the Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission.

The pre-feasibility report on the expansion project of Xinchang Power Plant also indicated that it will be equipped with FGD and SCR equipment, which will be installed simultaneously.

Located on the west of Phase I, the expansion project of Xinchang Power Plant is meant to improve the grid structure of Jiangxi Province, enhancing the safety and stability of grid operation, and meeting the power demand for economic and social development in Jiangxi Province.

Leveraging on the resources of Phase I, the expansion project will feature low cost and immediate profits based on the favourable construction conditions.
