Chinese wind power production zooms

Hits 100.8 terawatt hours in 2012.

China boosted the production of electricity from wind by 41% to 100.8 TWh compared to the 71.5 TWh in 2011. The output brings China much closer to its 2015 goal of 190 TWh.

The National Energy Administration said total grid-connected installed wind capacity rose by 31% from 47.9 GW to 62.7 GW. China goal is to install 100 GW of grid-connected wind power by 2015.
