Korea to build 1,000 MW power plant in Balochistan

Solar energy electricity plant will ease power shortfall in the Pakistani province.

The Korean Solar Energy Company would build 1,000 megawatt solar energy plant in Balochistan that will ease the 900 MW power shortfall currently faced by the province.

The Korean government signed memorandum of understanding for building a 300 MW power plant with the provincial government that will pave the way for starting work on the remaining projects with an output of 700 MW.

The projects will take three years to complete. Balochistan said Korea has also agreed to invest in its energy sector.
