Enhancing steam turbine reliability with Sulzer: Combatting wear and tear, eliminating outages

Don't miss this event to explore the latest developments and innovations in steam turbine operations.

As the global energy landscape undergoes rapid transformation, operators of steam turbine drivetrains in utilities and industrial production facilities from oil & gas to pulp & paper, etc. face a unique set of challenges and opportunities.

The increasing production demands, flexible load operations, and the critical need for energy security have placed tremendous stress on steam turbine drivetrains.

This elevated stress increases the risk of wear and tear, leading to unexpected outages. It becomes clear that robust solutions are required.

To help address these pressing issues, Asian Power is delighted to announce its webinar in collaboration with Sulzer, "Elevating Power: Advancing Steam Turbine Operations for Reliability and Performance," an event that promises to provide game-changing insights into the energy sector.

Scheduled for November 22, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM SGT, the webinar sheds light on the approach that ensures not only reliability but also operational uptime and minimises revenue impact, all within the shortest possible lead time.

The upcoming webinar aims to convene industry experts, engineering professionals, maintenance specialists, and C-suite executives. Together, these stakeholders will explore the primary pain points affecting steam turbine and turbo-generator reliability. The event will delve deep into cutting-edge techniques, optimisation strategies, advanced repair methods, and the possibilities for extending equipment lifecycles. Real-world case studies will also be discussed, offering tangible examples of how these concepts can be applied in practice.

Two distinguished speakers will share their expertise during the event. Andrianto Hapsoro, the Head of Engineering at Sulzer Services (Indonesia), has over 17 years of experience as a turbomachinery expert. Hapsoro has led Sulzer's engineering functions in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. He specialises in technical solution design for steam and gas turbines, compressors, and advanced repair techniques, etc.

Meanwhile, Alan Cumberbirch, Electromechanical Services Business Advisor at Sulzer Services, brings over five decades of experience in managing and developing service solutions for reliability enhancement and operational continuity. His expertise spans turbogenerators, motor systems, distribution, rewinds, etc. for electric rotating plants and equipment across energy-intensive industries.

"Elevating Power: Advancing Steam Turbine Operations for Reliability and Performance" promises to be an enlightening event that equips industry professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to address the evolving challenges in areas of steam turbine drive-train operations.
