China installed 5.2GW of solar power capacity in Q1
Centralised solar accounted for 2.4GW of installations.
China installed a total of 5.2GW of solar PV capacity in Q1 2019, the National Energy Administration (NEA) revealed.
Centralised solar accounted for 2.4GW whilst distributed solar took up for 2.8GW, bringing China’s cumulative solar capacity up to 180GW.
China also added 0.29GW worth of hydropower and 4.78 GW worth of wind power capacity in Q1, NEA said.
By the end of March, China’s power generation capacity with renewable resources amounted to 740GW.
