Neo Solar launches new monocrystalline solar cell in Taiwan

Neo Solar Power will showcase its new low-cost, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cell in an exhibition in Taipei.

 

Dubbed the Perfect19, the six-inch cell allows conversion efficiency rate of over 19%, claimed to be the highest efficiency generated by today’s mass-produced solar cell manufacturers.

The cell is made from a true square monocrystalline wafer, allowing 2% more power-generating area than conventional mono cells.

Modules formed from the cells are said to yield over 260W and 315W of power from 60-cell and 72-cell formats, respectively. The cells’ and modules’ uniform colour make them suitable for BIPV applications.

“The significance of the product is that it demonstrates our ability to make high-efficiency cells with conventional low-cost equipment. We believe this new product will be the perfect choice for customers and will satisfy their demands for high efficiency and aesthetics,” commented Dr. Quincy Lin, NSP’s chairman.
