TNB allocates $16.3M to meet West Kuala Lumpur electricity needs

TNB allocated US$16.3 million or RM50 million for 150 development projects to meet demand for electricity supply in West Kuala Lumpur.

 

The allocation covers the period between September 2011 and August 2012, reports Bernama.

"For 2012, TNB has allocated RM42 million to implement 36 upgrading projects which will ensure uninterrupted electricity supply in West Kuala Lumpur," said Tenaga Nasional Berhad Kuala Lumpur General Manager Ir Abdul Aziz Jaafa

He added that TNB lost an estimated RM7 million in revenue due to meter tampering in Kuala Lumpur between Sept last year and March this year.
