NLC invites bids for steam generator & auxiliaries package for 1,000 MW Neyveli New TPP

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has invited bids for the "Steam Generator & Auxiliaries Package (NTA1)" for

the 1,000 MW Neyveli New Thermal Power Project in Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, inspection, all mechanical, C&I systems,

electrical equipment and systems, steel structures, civil works, insurance, erection, testing, commissioning

and performance guarantee testing, guarantee and warranty for two lignite fired steam generators and

auxiliaries for the 2x500 MW plant.

As per the eligibility criteria, a bidder should have designed, manufactured, supplied, erected and

commissioned (or supervised erection and commissioning of) at least one pulverized lignite fired steam

generator of 500 MW capacity or above.

The time schedule for the completion of trial operation and performance guarantee tests of the plant and

equipment is as follows:
Completion of Trial Operation

Unit 1 Steam Generator -- Within 48 months from the date of LoA

Unit 2 Steam Generator -- Within 54 months from the date of LoA
Completion of Performance Guarantee Test

Unit 1 Steam Generator -- Within 51 months from the date of LoA

Unit 2 Steam Generator -- Within 57 months from the date of LoA

The last date for bid submission is November 17, 2012.
