Emergency drill for power shortage held in South Korea

South Korea is preparing for a possible power shortage.

Unusually low temperatures are threatening to deplete the country's electricity reserves.

It staged a rare nationwide emergency drill for a possible power shortage, the second of its kind since the beginning of this cold season.

It was held for 20 minutes from 10 a.m. with power supplies to eight government complexes throughout the country temporarily cut off.
