TotalEnergies, Corio partner to develop offshore wind projects in Taiwan

Corio will continue to hold the majority of the shares.

TotalEnergies and green investment group, Corio Generation, signed a joint venture partnership to develop Formosa 3 offshore wind farms in Taiwan which consists of three proposed projects.

In a statement, TotalEnergies said Corio will remain the majority shareholder and lead developer with 50% plus 10 shares overall in the project.

The Formosa 3 project is composed of three wind farms, Haiding 1, 2, and 3, located in Chanhua country on Taiwan’s central-western coast. Haiding 2 wind farm has been awarded a 600-megawatt grid capacity in December 2022, following the first phase of the market’s Round 3 auctions.

TotalEnergies and Corio developed wind farm projects in the UK, South Korea, and France.
