RATCH Group subsidiary, EGAT to develop solar project

The solar projects will start commercial operation in 2030.

Solarist Thungfai Company Limited, an indirect subsidiary of RATCH Group unit’s Saha Cogen (Chonburi) Public, signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand for the development of 27-megawatt solar projects.

In a statement, RATCH Group said the project is targeted to start operations in 2030 and will receive a feed-in-tariff rate of (THB2.1679) per kilowatt-hour during the contract period.

RATCH Group said the project will contribute to reducing fuel price volatility and electricity cost burden to the consumers by providing clean energy at lower price.

It added that the project is in line with the company’s goal to achieve the targets of 25% of total generation capacity, carbon neutrality and sustainable growth.
