Juniper Green Energy's 1st wind power project in Gujarat begins operation 

The project has a total capacity of 70 MW.

Juniper Green Energy has commissioned its first wind power project in Gujarat, with 25.2 megawatts (MW) out of the total 70 megawatts (MW) capacity in operation.

In a statement, Juniper said the project, which started operations almost nine months before the scheduled commissioning date, could produce 230 million units of electricity annually.

It could provide power to around 45,440 households.

The project also was a 25-year power purchase deal with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited at a tariff of $0.035 (INR2.90).
