NTPC Green Energy unit bags 300 MW solar project in NHPC tender

The facility will include an energy storage system.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has secured a 300 megawatt (MW) solar project in the e-reverse auction conducted by NHPC Limited.

In a statement, NGEL said its subsidiary bagged the solar project at a tariff of INR 3.09 per kilowatt-hour. The facility will include an energy storage system with a capacity of 150 MW/300 megawatt-hour.

The auction was concluded on 23 January, and NTPC REL is awaiting the issuance of the letter of award from NHPC.
