JSW Energy’s capacity breaches 10 GW in FY 2025

Thanks to its wind expansion.

JSW Energy Limited has recorded an installed generation capacity of 10.9 gigawatts (GW) at the end of fiscal year 2025, surpassing its 10 GW target set for period.

In a statement, the company said it added 3.6 GW of generation capacity in the past fiscal year, marking its highest annual capacity addition.

This was driven by its organic wind capacity addition of 1.3 GW and inorganic operational capacity addition of 1.8 GW of KSK Mahanadi Power Ltd. Specifically in the fourth quarter, JSW Energy added 2.8 GW of operational capacity.

“We continue to focus on delivering reliable, affordable, and sustainable power whilst aiming to achieve 20 GW installed capacity significantly before 2030,” said Sharad Mahendra, joint managing director and CEO of JSW Energy.
