Woolnorth bags planning permit for Mt Fyans wind farm

There will be 81 wind turbines at the energy plant.

The government has granted Woolnorth Renewables the planning permit for the Mt Fyans Wind Farm.

According to the company,  the government allows 81 wind turbines to be installed on private land to the north of Mortlake in southwest Victoria, five kilometres from Mortlake.

Woolnorth Renewables Acting General Manager Chris Sims said the Mt Fyans Wind Farm project is now waiting on approval under the Commonwealth Environment Protection (Biodiversity Conservation) Act.

“Woolnorth Renewables continues to progress key elements of the project but remains cautious until the project’s Commonwealth approval is issued,” the company said.
