DFO expands services across three core pillars

O&M growth in Taiwan eyed as rising costs reshaped the offshore wind market.

Dong Fang Offshore (DFO) is widening its role in Asia’s offshore wind sector by strengthening its three core business pillars—vessel chartering, EPCIC contracting, and operations and maintenance (O&M).

Speaking at Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025, organised by TAITRA and GESA under SEMI at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Commercial Manager Leander Ulrich said the shift reflects growing customer demand.

“Cost is a big driver, but it also gives us a lot of opportunities to actually diversify our portfolio and services,” he said.

DFO’s strong local presence remains a key differentiator. “We have Taiwanese flagged vessels, and we deliver really best in class service,” Ulrich said.

To meet Asia’s rising energy needs, DFO is tailoring services around customer requirements. “We listen to what is the demand… and that’s where we also then build our products around our investments,” Ulrich added, emphasising the company’s commitment to supporting renewable energy growth in Taiwan and the broader region.
