ACEN expands India footprint with ₹7.5b wind project loan
Phase 1 of the project will have 100 MW capacity.
ACEN has secured a ₹7.517b project finance loan to fund the first phase of its Bijapur Wind project in Karnataka, India.
The loan, obtained through Diyos Renewables India Project Private Limited, was arranged with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. It will partly finance the 100-megawatt phase of the project.
The facility will supply power under a deal with SJVN Limited.
Set for completion in 2027, the project is expected to generate about 330 million kWh annually and cut around 300,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
Company officials said the deal supports ACEN’s expansion in India and reflects strong backing from global lenders.
