Nippon Benex’s 4.2‑MW solar plant in Kanagawa seen powering over 1,400 homes

Its expected annual power generation is approximately 4.31 million kilowatt-hour.

Nippon Benex has installed a 4.2-megawatt (MW) solar power plant, ‘Benex Zama Solar Port’ in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

It is a 4,192.3-kilowatt solar power plant constructed by installing 7,046 solar cell modules on the roof of Mitsui Fudosan Logistics Park (MFLP) Zama.

The electricity generated will first be consumed within the facility, and any surplus will be sold externally using the Feed-in Premium system.

The expected annual power generation is approximately 4.31 million kilowatt-hour, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 1,436 average households.

Mitsui Fudosan serves as the main operator of the solar plant.
