Kepco to join Philippine nuclear energy studies
Kepco intends to participate in a feasibility study on the safety of nuclear energy in the Philippines.
It is also ready to bid on any nuclear energy development as it has been in this venture for a long time.
The Philippines’ Department of Energy is preparing for a study on nuclear energy focused on safety issues.
The company had earlier conducted a feasibility study on the revival of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. It estimated that the repowering would cost at least $1 billion.
