Jinko Power reaches financial close for 400 MW solar project in Saudi Arabia

The project is set for commissioning in 2025.

Construction of the 400 megawatt (MW) Tabarjal Solar Photovoltaic Project is set to begin after Jinko Power Technology Co., Ltd  reached financial close for the project.

In a statement, the company said Riyadh Bank and APICORP are providing long-term, non-recourse project financing.

The Tabarjal project will be located approximately 17 kilometres northeast of Tabarjal in the AlJouf Province, Saudi Arabia. It is part of the tenders launched under the fourth round of competitive tenders under Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC).

The power purchase agreement for a term of 25 years was signed in November 2023 with SPPC.

With the addition of this new project, Jinko Power's total project portfolio in Saudi Arabia now reaches 700 MW net, including the 300 MW SAAD project awarded in 2022 and currently under construction.
