Saudi Arabia announces qualified bidders for 4.5 GW solar, wind projects

Several Asian companies made the list.

The Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has announced the list of qualified developers for the sixth round of the National Renewable Energy Program that covers 4,500 megawatts of solar and wind projects.

In a statement, SPPC said the qualified bidders for solar projects are:

  1. Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar
  2. Alfanar Company CJSC
  3. EDF Renouvelables S.A.
  4. Kahrabel FZE (Ultimate Parent Company – ENGIE S.A)
  5. FAS ENERGY KSA LLC
  6. Jinko Power (HK) Company Limited
  7. Korea Electric Power Corporation 
  8. Marubeni Corporation
  9. Nesma Renewable Energy
  10. SPIC Huanghe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd.
  11. Sumitomo Corporation
  12. TotalEnergies Renewables SAS
  13. Al Jomaih Energy & Water Co. Ltd.
  14. Sembcorp Utilities Pte Ltd
  15. Al Gihaz Holding Company
  16. Korea Western Power Co., Ltd.

For the wind projects, the qualified developers are:

  1. Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company – PJSC – Masdar
  2. EDF Renouvelables S.A.
  3. Kahrabel FZE (Ultimate Parent Company – ENGIE S.A)
  4. Marubeni Corporation
  5. Sembcorp Utilities Pte Ltd
  6. Sumitomo Corporation
  7. TotalEnergies Renewables SAS
  8. Goldwind Science & Technology Co.,Ltd
  9. Power Construction Corporation of China
  10. Alfanar Company CJSC
