ACME Solar to develop 190-MW hybrid project in 25-year deal with SECI

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with SECI Limited for a 190-megawatt (MW) ISTS-connected wind–solar hybrid project, according to a filing.
The tariff has been fixed at $0.052 (Rs. 4.72) per unit and adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, with the procurement plan approved by the relevant State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The scheduled commercial operation date is 27 February 2028.
The project will include a battery energy storage system and is designed to supply assured peak power, with a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 50% and an obligation to meet 80% of daily peak power requirements.
The project forms part of a 380-MW capacity tranche, taking ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed portfolio to 5,820 MW, including 1,240 MW signed in the current financial year. The project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation Ltd under Phase II.
The company stated that the transaction is not a related party transaction and that the promoter group has no interest in SECI Limited.
