CHINT and Octopus Energy partner to expand RE, VPP collaboration

Partnership covers renewable energy equipment, EPC services and clean energy project development.

CHINT and Octopus Energy have signed two memoranda of cooperation (MoCs) to strengthen collaboration in renewable energy infrastructure and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) solutions.

The agreements support both companies’ efforts to accelerate the energy transition through clean energy technologies, digital energy solutions and smarter power systems.

Under the first MoC, Astronergy Europe GmbH, CHINT Power Systems Poland Sp. z o.o., and CHINT Solar Poland Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością will collaborate with Octopus Energy on renewable energy projects. CHINT will provide renewable energy equipment, including PV modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformers, smart meters, cables and EV charging solutions. CHINT may also provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for selected projects.

The partnership combines CHINT’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities with Octopus Energy’s renewable energy development and energy service expertise to deliver scalable clean energy solutions.

A second MoC between Chint Anneng Digital Power (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. and Octopus Energy Group Limited will focus on exploring VPP opportunities in the Chinese mainland market.

The cooperation will cover distributed energy resource aggregation, demand response, intelligent energy management and other digital energy applications. The companies will explore new business models and pilot projects to support a more flexible and resilient power system.

Through these agreements, CHINT and Octopus Energy aim to advance renewable energy deployment and develop smarter energy solutions for the global energy transition.
