FairWind wins eight-figure contract for Australian wind farm

It will support the installation of 50 turbines.

FairWind has secured an eight-figure contract from a major wind turbine manufacturer to deliver installation, mechanical and electrical services for a large onshore wind project in Australia.

The company will support the installation of 50 turbines, including lifting and assembling towers, nacelles, drivetrains, hubs and blades. FairWind will also carry out electrical routing and integrate mechanical systems such as gearboxes, braking systems, hydraulics and lubrication.

The contract follows FairWind’s previous work for the same manufacturer, where it installed more than 100 turbines on an earlier project.

To deliver the project, FairWind has hired 37 additional staff and deployed 50 specialist technicians to site, supported by a project manager based in Melbourne. The project is scheduled for completion in Q1 2026.

Rasmus Jessen, chief operating officer – installation, said the award reflects the company’s growing presence in Australia.

“Australia is a driving force in the global energy transition and large-scale projects like this are vital in strengthening the country’s energy security and delivering clean, affordable power,” he said.
