Indonesia gets two 1000MW ultra-supercrtical steam turbines and generators

This is for Tanjung Jati B coal-fired power plant's new units.

Toshiba announced that it has won an order to supply two 1,000MW ultra-supercritical steam turbines and generators (STG), main transformers and related equipment, and a 500kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS) for Tanjung Jati B Coal-fired Power Plant Unit 5 & 6 Expansion Project in the Republic of Indonesia.

Toshiba will start delivery of main equipment to the project site from 2019. The plant will commence commercial operation in 2021, and its output capacity will number it among Indonesia’s largest plants. The project will add two 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical power plants on a site adjacent to the existing Units 1 to 4.
