Indonesian power plant to boost generation by 30% with new boilers

Electricity production will increase by about 30%.

A $US100 million that PT Cikarang Listrindo will receive from Metso that includes order including two power boilers with a total capacity of 270MW will make this possible.

Also included inthe order is Metso's DNA control system, an automation and information platform for process control.

The power boilers will be used in an undisclosed Indonesian plant, which is expected to be commissioned in 2016.

PT Cikarang Listrindo, which began operations in 1992 with a capacity of 76MWe, currently has a power generating capacity of 755MWe.
