Madanganj power plant starts supplying electricty

 The Summit Narayanganj power plant is now supplying electricity to the national grid.

 

The country has a deficit of some 1000 MW of power every day. So the operation of the new plant of Summit Power Ltd. has been received here with pleasure. The 102 MW capacity plant is situated at Madanganj.

The plant will have impact also on the life and economic and industrial activities of this port city.

This is for the first time that a power plant is made operative before the deadline.

The special feature of the plant is that it runs on fuel oil and gas as well. This is the first duel fuel power plant in Bangladesh.
