Longyuan Power's wind capacity approaching 6.5GW

China Longyuan Power Group's wind power capacity may hit 6.5 GW by the end of 2010. According to Xinhua, citing a company filing, it registered a total wind power capacity of 5.51 GW as of end November.

The group estimates to generate 10 GWH of power in 2010.

According to the group’s planning for the 12th Five-Year Plan period, its wind power capacity will total 11 GW in 2012 and 18 GW in 2015. Total capacity is expected to further expand to 30 GW in 2020.
