NTPC gains fastest-ever 300 billion units generation

The record is accomplished in 262 days, 18 days less than last year’s.

NTPC Group has reached the fastest 300 billion units (BU) generation within the FY 2023-24.

Achieved on 18 December 2023, the milestone has only taken 262 days, 18 days less than the generation from the last fiscal year. 256 BU generation has been documented around NTPC stations in FY 2023-24.

In addition, NTPC crossed 300 BU generation on 5 January 2023.

With NTPC having an installed capacity of nearly 74 GW, more than 18 GW capacity is under construction, and 5 GW is in renewables. The pipeline properly aligns with NTPC’s goals of 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

Outside of power generation, NTPC has invested in new businesses, such as -mobility, waste-to-energy, and green hydrogen solutions. It has also made bids for power distribution in Union Territories.
