ACEN seals deal with US-based firm for renewable energy projects
It is BrightNight LLC’s second massive-scale renewable energy deal in APAC.
Philippine-based energy platform ACEN Corporation has secured a partnership with US-based renewable power company BrightNight LLC, through subsidiary BrightNight APAC B.V., for the development of a local renewable energy platform.
Under the proposed tie-up, both companies aim to invest in the development, construction and eventual operation of utility-scale renewable energy projects in the Philippines.
The deal will be the second GW-scale renewable energy platform partnership between ACEN and BrightNight in the APAC region, with the first being the deployment of $250m equity for BrightNight’s expansive 1.2 GW power portfolio in India.
“This partnership in the Philippines, once completed, will be the second GW-scale renewable energy platform investment partnership between ACEN and BrightNight in APAC (Asia-Pacific),” ACEN shared in a statement.
