These projects can generate a to generate 1,076 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually and power around 360,000 average-sized households in New Delhi.
Aside from these, Amazon will also be deploying 23 solar rooftop projects in its fulfilment centres in 14 cities in India which would generate 4.09MW of electricity, bringing its rooftop projects to 41 with a total of 19.7MW capacity.
Globally, Amazon is adding 2.7GW of clean energy capacity with its 71 new projects, including its first renewable energy project in South America with a solar farm in Brazil, and its first solar farm in Poland. Once operational, its total renewable portfolio will generate 50,000GWh of electricity which can power 4.6 million US homes annually.
