Aula Energy’s Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm bags connection approvals
The connection agreements will be signed in the coming days.
Aula Energy has announced that its 256.2 megawatt (MW) Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm has received grid connection approval.
In a statement, the company said the permit from ElectraNet Pty Ltd and the Australian Energy Market Operator was secured nine months after the initial connection application.
“We now look forward to working with the ElectraNet team to close out the Connection Agreements in the coming days, and an Offer to Connect as Aula Energy progresses the project towards financial close,” the company said.
The wind power generated by Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm will be delivered via a 12.8-kilometre 275-kilovolt (kV) transmission line connecting into the existing Davenport to Brinkworth 275 kV line. It also has the option to develop a 118 MW battery energy storage system.
Georgetown Hills Renewable Energy Pty Ltd was set up to develop the Carmody's Hill Wind Farm Project and is co-developed by Aula Energy and Renewable Project Services.
