The company also inaugurated another solar project in the Indian state.
Avaada Group has laid the foundation for its 1,560 megawatt-peak solar plus 2,500 megawatt-hour battery energy storage project at Pugal in Rajasthan.
In a statement, the company said it also inaugurated a 200 MW solar power project in Shri Dungargarh, Bikaner, in the same state.
Together, these two projects represent a combined investment of more than INR 9,200
crore in Rajasthan’s renewable energy sector.
The 1,560 MWp project in Pugal, situated in a 4,000-acre site, is the largest BESS in India to date. Meanwhile, the 200 MW Shri Dungargarh solar project will be situated in a 777-acre site, supplying power to Rajasthan distribution companies.
The projects will cut down more than 20 lakh tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually and help conserve approximately 600 lakh litres of water annually through robotic cleaning.
