Eurus Energy switches on Eurus Shiratori Battery Park

The battery park is located in Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Eurus Energy has started the operations of the 1.5-megawatt (MW)/4.58 MW-hour of the Eurus Shiratori Battery Park, the company’s first grid storage battery station in Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

In a statement, Eurus Energy said the facility which started construction in November 2022 and started operations on 17 January 2024 is connected to the Kyushu Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Co. Inc.

Eurus Energy was selected by Japan’s Agency for Natural Resources and Energy to develop the facility in line with its “Project to Support the Introduction of Grid Storage Batteries, etc. to Accelerate the Introduction of Renewable Energy.”

The company added that it will continue exploring ramping up its wind and solar power generation.
