Hai Long 2 offshore wind completes turbine installation

Electricity generated by the whole project is being connected to Taipower.

Installation of all 37 turbines at the 532 megawatt (MW) Hai Long 2 Offshore Wind Farm has been completed.

According to Hai Long Offshore Wind Project, installation of the 36 turbines for Hai Long 3 will be completed next year.

Siemens Gamesa produced the turbines for the project. It is set to deliver the 36 turbines for Hai Long 3 mid-next year.

The electricity generated by all 73 turbines has been gradually connected to Taipower's grid since June this year, providing a significant boost to Taiwan's policy goal of achieving a 20% renewable energy share by 2026.
