ib vogt commences construction of Malaysia’s 29.99 MW solar project

The developer has reached a financial close for the project.

Renewable energy developer ib vogt has started construction of the 29.99-megawatt solar project in Sungei Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.

The project, which has also reached financial close, is under Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP), with AirTrunk as the off-taker under a long-term power purchase agreement.

Once operational, the facility will prevent approximately 55,380 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

The project is also expected to contribute to Malaysia’s renewable energy goals, supporting corporate and national sustainability targets whilst providing clean and reliable energy.
