J-Power’s 7th wind plant in Hokkaido starts operations
The Esashi Wind Farm has a 21MW capacity.
Esashi Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electric Power Development (J-Power), has started the commercial operation of the 21-megawatt Esashi Wind Farm.
In a statement, J-POWER said the wind farm is its seventh site in the Hokkaido Prefecture and brings its wind power generation business in the country to 28 sites, 21 of each are in operation, four are being updated, and three are under construction.

The Esashi Wind Farm is the first site in J-Power with a large 4,000-kilowatt (kW) class wind turbines
Following its operations, J-Power equity output in Japan reaches 662,392kW.
