NTPC Green Energy signs deal to develop RE projects in Madhya Pradesh

The deal covers solar and wind facilities.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has inked a memorandum of understanding to fuel Madhya Pradesh's renewable energy capacity.

In a bourse filing, NGEL said the deal with Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited includes setting up solar, wind, and hybrid projects with or without storage up to 20 gigawattts or more in Madhya Pradesh.

MPPGCL and NGEL will form a joint venture “to meet the Renewable Generation Obligation (RGO) of Madhya Pradesh Generating Company and Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) of Madhya Pradesh DISCOMs.”
