Ørsted energises first offshore export cable for Greater Changhua 2b and 4

This is an important step towards generating the first power.

Ørsted has completed the installation and energised the first offshore export cable system for the 920 megawatt Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms.

The company said this is the first of three export cable systems connecting CHW2204 to Taiwan's grid.

This achievement involved the mobilisation of 16 vessels and 45 specialised personnel.

With this development, the company said it inches closer towards the projects’ final phase, the generation of first power.
