RATCH Group’s PH solar plant goes online

It has a 10-year PPA with an Aboitiz unit.

RATCH Group has announced the commencement of commercial operations of its Calabanga Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plant Project on 5 August.

In a statement, the company said the plant has an installed capacity of 74 megawatts (MW) which is equivalent to 36.3 MW in its shareholding proportion.

The power plant, which is located in Camarines Sur, has a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with a subsidiary in the Aboitiz Power Corporation Group for the majority of the generated electricity. Meanwhile, the rest of the generated electricity will be sold in the wholesale electricity spot market or be entered into short-term PPA directly with retail customers, RATCH said.
