Sirdarya Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine Plant begins partial operations

A total of 461 MW started operations.

ACWA Power company said the Sirdarya Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine Independent Power Project started partial commercial operation on 2 April with a 461-megawatt (MW) capacity.

In an announcement, ACWA Power said this came following the receipt of the Commercial Operation Certificate from the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan.

This brings the total online capacity under commercial operation to 918 MW out of the total 1,500 MW capacity.

ACWA Power owns a 51% share of the plant located in Uzbekistan.
