Tilt Renewables and AGL ink 15-year power agreement

The deal will cover 45% of the Palmer Wind Farm’s output.

Australian-owned renewable energy company Tilt Renewables has signed a deal with AGL for power produced by the former’s Palmer Wind Farm.

In a statement, Tilt Renewables said the 15-year power purchase agreement involves the sale of 45% of the generation output of the Palmer Wind Farm to AGL at a fixed price.

The Palmer Wind Farm is located 70 kilometres east of Adelaide and will have a generation capacity of up to 288 megawatts.

Tilt Renewables CEO Anthony Fowler said the agreement “ensures revenue certainty to support investment in the project.”

The company is working on secondary approvals and finalising construction contracts for the project. A final investment decision is expected in the coming months, with target commercial operation by December 2028.

Once completed, Fowler said the Palmer Wind Farm will be able to power around 142,000 South Australian homes per year with zero-emission electricity.
